General Cargo Vessel M.V. Viscount

Design Philosophy

The Viscount is the first vessel constructed by Shipyard Niestern Sander exceeding a breadth of sixteen metres. The assembly of the various ship sections was executed in the yard’s new building dock in the harbour of Delfzijl. This special design was made in close cooperation with the Groningen based shipowner Beck. The vessel offers two identical holds for the carriage of various dry cargoes. The tanktop and sideplating of the hold are strengthened for the transport of heavy coils and grab-discharge.
